Biography Adele Reinhartz

Adele Reinhartz is Associate Vice-President Research at the University of Ottawa, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, where she also holds the position of Professor in the Department of Classics and Religious Studies.

Her areas of research include the Gospel of John, feminist literary criticism, and Bible and Film. Her most recent book is Scripture on the Silver Screen, a study of contemporary films that make explicit use of the Bible (Westminster John Knox 2003). She is completing a book on the Jesus movies, entitled Jesus of Hollywood (Oxford University Press, forthcoming 2006).
