Jon Snodgrass

Jon Snodgrass was born in Colón, Republic of Panamá and has U. S. and Panamanian citizenship. A Professor of Sociology, California State University, Los Angeles for thirty-five years, he teaches child and adult development, and small group dynamics.

He was educated in U.S. government schools in the former Panama Canal Zone. He obtained B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Maryland and a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania (1972). He holds a second Ph.D. in child psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the Reiss-Davis Child Study Center in West Los Angeles (1985). He is licensed as a psychotherapist in private practice in South Pasadena, California.

He has authored three books, Follow Your Career Star: Career Quest Based on Inner Values (Kensington, 1996); The Jack-Roller at Seventy: A Follow-Up of 'A Delinquent Boy's Own Story' (Lexington, 1982); and For Men Against Sexism: A Book of Readings (Times Change Press, 1977).
