
Julien
R. Fielding received her MA in religious studies from the University
of Kansas in 1996.
Since then she has been the theater critic and features writer for
The Reader, the entertainment editor for the Daily Nonpareil, the
editor-in-chief of
www.performanceomaha.com, and lead writer
for The Daily Record. Her national credits include features in Wines & Vines,
Mystery Review, and Screenwriting Magazine.
As an educator, she teaches noncredit courses in French, film
studies, and cooking for Metropolitan Community College in Omaha. This
fall, 2005, she will begin teaching Introduction to World Religions at
the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Her interests are European
filmmakers, particularly those in France and Germany, including
Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Patrice Leconte, Claude Berri and Volker Schlondorff.
