
Paul V. M. Flesher is an Associate Professor at
the University of Wyoming, where he directs the Religious Studies Program.
After studying at the University of Rochester, Oxford University,
and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, he received his Ph.D. from
Brown University.
His research primarily focuses on ancient Judaism, and he has written
and edited books and articles on slavery, the early synagogue, and
Aramaic Bible translations. He has team-taught the course Film and
Religion with Dr. Robert Torry for six years.
He is now writing a textbook for film and religion courses with his
colleague Dr. Torry. Dr. Fisher and Dr. Torry write a blog,
filmandreligion.blogspot.com. It will have a link to their new book, Film and Religion: An Introduction, which is due out in June.
