Wanda Avila

 Wanda Avila received her BS in English and Education from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale; her MA in English from the University of Chicago, and MA in Linguistics/Tefl from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and her PhD in English from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD.

Avila is an adjunct professor of English and American Literature at the Universiy of Maryland, College Park, MD; George Mason University in Fairfax, VA; and, from 1980-84, was an adjunct professor at The Catholic University in WAshington, DC.she has been a senior writer for Synergetics Publications; a public affairs analyst for the Energy Information Administration, and reports analyst and writer/editor for the American Petroleum Institute.
