Geoff Baker

Geoff Baker is currently a doctoral candidate and sessional tutor in the history department at Keele University, UK. His thesis will focus on English Catholicism in the seventeenth century and aims to redress the widely held belief that contemporary Catholics were merely quiescent victims.

He has a long-standing interest in the way that religion has been presented through the medium of film and is currently writing a feminist critique of Southeast Asian cinema.
