To assist in making your e-mail experiences more meaningful and trouble-free, Information Technology Services (ITS) now provides a “spam” filtering service for myMail addresses that reduces the amount of unsolicited bulk e-mail (spam) received by students, faculty and staff. In June 2006, ITS along with testers from across the UNO campus, selected this service as a solution to the spam e-mail problem. Click one of the links below for further information.
The Barracuda Networks antispam solution employs a Bayesian Database for determining what e-mails could be considered Spam. A short tutorial movie is offered at the company's Website if you are interested in learning more. Select 'How Bayesian Databases Work.'
