On Wednesday, March 1st, Martin Tillman will present a series of talks to faculty, staff, and students linking employability with education abroad and discussing how to maximize that impact.
Tillman's talks are tailored to address the different ways faculty, staff, and students can all contribute to closing the expectation gap between students' experiences and employers' values. How can students better link their education abroad experiences with what employers want?
There is no fee to attend any of the talks, but RSVP to abierwirth@unomaha.edu is requested for staff and faculty sessions.
Faculty and staff with an interest in study abroad are invited to his afternoon talk in MBSC Nebraska Room, "The Faculty Role in Linking Education Abroad Learning Objectives to Employability."
Abstract:
Discussion around best-practices for a robust and integrated approach to education abroad programming and overall approach to linkage of EA academic learning outcomes with strengthening student employability. Engagement with faculty in fostering employability through the incorporation of high-impact practices and career integration activities into their study abroad programs.
