Academic Partnership for Instruction (API)
The API team is devoted to instructional design and technology support. As part of their mission, API staff keep abreast of best practices in distance education, blended learning, and strategies supporting the use of technology to facilitate teaching and learning.
Faculty Resource Portal
The portal provides UNO teaching faculty, instructors, and graduate teaching assistants with resources supporting technology-integrated teaching and learning. The materials found on this portal have been curated by the API staff along with help from UNO faculty. Their discoveries and insights are shared here, contributing to UNO’s commitment to academic excellence through faculty development and research.
Teaching & Technology Center
The Teaching & Technology Center (TTC) is located in Kayser Hall room 538 and is staffed by instructional designers from the IS Academic Partnership for Instruction (API) team. The goal of API and the Teaching and Technology Center is to inspire, encourage, and support UNO faculty/staff who integrate technology into teaching to make learning more dynamic for students. The Center is intended to provide UNO faculty and staff with a collaborative learning environment that serves as a catalyst for collegial exchange about the innovative uses of technology in education.
All API events are open to UNO faculty and staff. Prerequisites or previous experience may be necessary. Because most workshops offered by API are tailored to assist those who teach, Graduate and Teaching Assistants are also welcome. New employees who do not yet have MavSync accounts should contact API for assistance in registering.
