School of Interdisciplinary Informatics
The Academic Department Dashboard provides an overview of the performance of UNO academic departments over time. This dashboard--which relies on data visualization--replaces the Academic Department Indicators series which was printed and distributed to UNO academic departments on an annual basis starting in 1980. Dashboards for individual academic department indicators, filterable by year, college and department are available through the Performance INformation Gateway (PING) web site under Academic & Dept. Indicators/Academic Department Indicators (ADI) Dashboards.
Notes on Data for School of Interdisciplinary Informatics*NOTE: The School of Interdisciplinary Informatics began operation with the start of the fall 2010 semester. Bioinformatics, Information Assurance, and Information Technology course and enrollment information in prior years was reporded under several different units, including: Non-Departmental/IS&T Dean's Office; Dept. of Computer Science; and Dept. of Information Systems and Quantitative Analysis. The Bioinformatics program began in 2004; Information Assurance was initiated in 2007; and IT Innovation started in 2009. Some charts and tables provide data for 5- and 10-year time periods, and draw on data previously reported for other units. In all cases, data for the 2010-11 through 2012-2013 academic years are solely for the School of Interdisciplinary Informatics.

Completion Rates for Freshmen Cohort Members Declaring a Major in the School of Interdisciplinary Informatics
Note: This information is based on the Fall 2005 entering freshman cohort. The cohort was tracked through the fall 2011 semester. The BS in Bioinformatics was initiated in January 2004. The undergraduate degrees in Information Assurance and IT Innovation started in 2007 and 2009. The School was established in 2010; prior to that date, the degrees were administered by the Department of Information Science and Quantitative Analysis (ISQA) and the IS&T Dean's office. The number of fall cohort freshmen declaring a major offered by the School of Interdisciplinary Informatics is only a subset of all majors in the School. Most students select a major offered by the School, or a BGS concentration in a related area, subsequent to enrolling as freshmen, or transferring from another university/college.
