Objectives of the Impact Movement: Evangelism (outreach), Prayer, & Fellowship

 

v     Bake Sale

We raised $80 in our first bake sale ever! Thanks to everyone who helped out in any way (baking, selling, witnessing, donating $, and the encouragement). If you have any other ideas for fundraising, please let us know (impact@unomaha.edu).

 

v     Community Service

We will be meeting with Ty from the Hope Center on Wednesday (Oct. 18th) at 3:30pm to discuss opportunities to serve. Other places that we may look into are as follows: local churches, Open Door Mission, Canned food drive, clothing drive, Release Ministries, Young Life, Y.E.S. , MOHM’S Place, Habitat for Humanity, nursing homes, homeless, elderly, care packages, single mothers.

 

v     Fall Retreat

This year we will be in Milwaukee for our fall retreat from October 27-29th. So far, we have four people interested in going. More information will be presented next week.

 

v     Visit from Lorna and Blayne

Lorna and Blayne will be here from October 23rd-25th. They would like to meet with us a group to give us some important information. They will be at our informational meeting during that same week.

 

v     Impact 2006

GRAB THE GRACE REGISTRATION: Grab The Grace Rate: This rate is $325 per person, based on quad occupancy through November 1, 2006. A $75.00 non-refundable and non-transferable deposit online or a postmarked check payable to "The Impact Movement" must be sent by November 1st to secure this rate.

 

Regular Registration: $349.00, November 1- December 11th (online or postmarked).
Late Registration: $399.00, December 12th - December 26th (online or postmarked).
At The Door Registration: $449.00, December 27th (checks and credit cards).

We will begin our letter writing campaign soon. Please keep in mind that     the total cost of the conference DOES NOT include the extra expenses. You will also need to have money for food, bus transportation, and any other expenses you might have (shopping, cab fare, etc.)

 

v     Website Update

      Todd G. will be updating our website. Our goal is to have some major changes completed by November. He is already working hard on it, so if there is anything you would like to see, please do not hesitate to let him know. Thanks Todd!!!
