Student Employee of the Year 2013.
The Student Employee of the Year Ceremony was held on April 22, 2013 in the MBSC Ballroom. Lee Denker, Director of the Alumni Association was the guest speaker and this year 19 student employees were nominated.
The nominees were: Elizabeth Barnhart (Aviation Institute), Stewart Buckley (Facilities), Kaley Enstrom (Student Organizations & Leadership Programs), Madison Guthrie (Chemistry), Ellana Haakenstad (Chemistry), Timothy Kellner (Chemistry), Melissa Klein (Academic & Student Affairs), Lira Haydon (Chemistry), Jordan McDermott (Landscape Services), Cameron Nadrchal (School of Criminology & Criminal Justice), Jordan Pape (Physics), Zachary Riley (Parking & Transit Operations), Chelsea Rose (Psychobiology), Patricia Sobetski (Criss Library), Lauren Struble (International Programs), Brandon (Vern) Van Vleet (Chemistry), Kyle Weber (Environmental Health & Safety), Casey Wilson (Thompson Learning Community), and Benjamin Yates (Campus Recreation).
The Student Employee of the Year plaque and check for $100 (courtesy of the Alumni Association) were awarded to Chelsea Rose from the Psychobiology department for her work caring for the marmosets housed in Allwine Hall.
The selection was made by the Student Employee of the Year Committee, which this year consisted of Christian Espinosa Torres (OLLAS), John Golka (Testing Center), Latonya Hill (Graduate Studies), Christy Thomas (Administrative Information Services) and Cindy Wofford (Nebraska Business Development Center).
