[HOME] [UNIT 1 TEST]

The lab activities for this first unit of the semester have required you to view slides of mitosis, epithelial tissues, connective tissues, cartilage and bone. This site offers micrographs of these slides with descriptions similar to those found on your histology supplement sheet. Additional information on structure, location and functions are often included.

As you use this review site, it will be helpful if you review your Histology Supplement Sheet, check the micrographs in your Van De Graaff text, the Van De Graaff manual, and the Rust text and review the drawings you made in the laboratory.

You will find that the micrographs available here have limitations in color and clarity and in providing only one or two views of the tissues and cells we are studying - so - view the "real thing" as often as possible.

The micrographs are presented in the following groups.

MITOSIS
EPITHELIAL TISSUES
PROPER CONNECTIVE TISSUES
CARTILAGE AND BONE
