UNO hosted Focus the Nation, a national teach-in to raise awareness for global warming. A summary of events can be found here.

January 15, 2008: Student Body President/Regent, Lucas Seilar, and Student Government Vice President, Buey Ruet, were sworn into office. Both ran on the platform of greening our campus and starting a campus-wide recycling program.

April 17, 2007: Sustainability Navigator Session Results Presentation Clay Nesler, Johnson Controls, returned to UNO to present the results of the Sustainability Navigator Session conducted in February to identify our sustainability priorities (Needs Assessment) and how effectively we thought we were addressing them (Practices Assessment). Clay presented these results to us, compared our results to those of other universities and helped identify logical steps to bring us closer to where we determined we should be. Results
