Graduate College Commencement

• University of Nebraska Omaha Graduation Ceremony – Saturday, May 4, 9AM

Procession Information

All graduate candidates (Doctoral, Education Specialists, and Master's) participating in the 9AM graduation ceremony will meet at HPER 128 to line-up with the Graduate College. Please arrive by 8:15AM and look for signs or ushers to indicate our assembly area. Doctoral/Specialists candidates will receive a medal from UNO Graduate Studies as they check in.

Graduation Ceremony

Master's candidates will be presented to the Chancellor for degree conferral at the 9AM graduation ceremony and recognized individually at the college commencement.

Hooding Ceremony

Doctoral/Specialist candidates will be hooded at the 9AM graduation ceremony. Dean Smith-Howell will present the candidates and each will be called up to the platform to be hooded. NO hoodings will be done in the individual college commencements—the college may choose to recognize doctoral/specialist recipients but the hooding ceremony is at 9AM.

Individual College Commencements

Master's candidates will receive a medal from UNO Graduate Studies and be recognized individually at college ceremonies.

No hoodings will be done in the individual college commencements. Each college may choose to recognize Doctoral/Specialist recipients but the hooding will take place at the 9AM graduation ceremony.

University Reception

• Time: 10AM to 2PM or immediately following the graduation ceremony
• Location: Milo Bail Student Center
