University of Nebraska Omaha Graduation Ceremony

The Graduation Ceremony is a university-wide celebration of all UNO students' achievements. Graduating students and faculty will be part of a large procession. The Chancellor will confer all degrees and the hooding ceremony for Doctoral/Specialist recipients will take place at this event.

Procession Information for Graduates

Undergraduate and graduate students should plan to line up in HPER 128 no later than 8:15AM, wearing their academic regalia. Line up will be by college. Please look for signs or ushers to indicate your assembly area.

Procession Information for Faculty and Platform Party

Please arrive no later than 8:30AM for the processional. Faculty will line up in Maverick Cafe. Platform party members will line up in the lower level of the HPER Building, room 109E.

Reception

All faculty, graduate, undergraduate students and their guests are invited to a reception immediately following commencement. No tickets are necessary for this event.

Graduate students will attend their individual college commencement ceremonies in academic regalia and walk across the stage to receive recognition. Colleges may choose to recognize Doctoral/Specialist recipients but the hooding ceremony will take place at the 9AM graduation ceremony. Master's candidates will be recognized individually at the individual college ceremonies.
