UNO Grad Students place #1 over UNL and Creighton in regional "premier MBA competition"
Four graduate students from the University of Nebraska at Omaha took home a loving cup and $5,000 in scholarships this week in a contest that simulated the world of mergers and acquisitions.
The most valuable part of the ACG Cup competition, one winning team member said, was how much the students from UNO, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Creighton University learned.
"It exponentially increased our ability to understand the mergers and acquisitions area," said Ryan Hines, a UNO team member. "It was the closest thing you could get to being in a real-world scenario. We all learned an absolute ton. It's a whole different way of thinking."
