Welcome and congratulations on your University of Nebraska at Omaha appointment as a :

This appointment is classified as a "special appointment" under the Bylaws of the Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska. Those Bylaws and other University policies that are part of this agreement can be found at www.nebraska.edu. Your appointment will start on and terminate on ; provided, however that the University may terminate the appointment prior to that time for any reason by giving you 30 days written notice at the address above. The total stipend designated for your Assistantship is , payable to you in the following manner:

Should you for any reason fail to complete the assistantship, your pay will be pro-rated through the last day of your service. Graduate assistantships are often funded by grants or other similar temporary sources. Should the grant supporting your position become unavailable for any reason, the termination of your employment will coincide with the termination of the grant.

In addition to your stipend, you shall receive all tuition remission benefits authorized by the Board of Regents.

Your assistantship is designated as .33 FTE and shall include the following assigned duties:

Other duties related to your appointment may be assigned in the course of your employment. Your supervisor shall set your specific hours of employment in such a way that corresponds to your FTE and your other academic obligations. Graduate Assistants do not accrue sick or vacation time. You shall work with your supervisor to make up sick days, if any, as soon as possible after an absence.
