NON-MEMBER, GRADUATE LECTURER OPTION


The criteria for a Graduate Lecturer as approved by the Graduate Faculty is as follows:

"1. Have completed at least two years of full-time work experience relevant to the discipline to be taught, this may include teaching, research, professional experience, or any combination.

2. Hold the terminal degree normally accepted for academic employment in the discipline or have achieved some extraordinary accomplishment as determined by the Graduate Committee of the nominee's department or inter-department area."

(Graduate Faculty Minutes, February 21, 1974, Motion 282).

NOTE: Graduate Lecturers are not Members of the Graduate Faculty--all Members are appointed by the Board of Regents whereas Graduate Lecturer designations are only special permission to teach specific courses for graduate credit for a period up to (4) years, with option for renewal. Full-time faculty are not eligible for non member, graduate lecturer option
