Whether you’re pursuing an education through the University of Nebraska at Omaha or the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the Department of Gerontology offers courses that will prepare you for jobs of the future.
Located in the newly renovated CPACS building on the Omaha campus and in Nebraska Hall on city campus in Lincoln, the department has faculty and staff prepared to assist you with your program of study.
Our award winning faculty challenge students in the classroom to consider aging in a new light. We also work closely with professionals in the community that teach specialized courses in such areas as health aspects of aging, hospice, legal aspects, long-term care and counseling. Their real life experiences prepare students to appreciate and understand the uniqueness of this phase of life.
