Welcome to UNO's Foreign Languages & Literatures site.
Foreign Languages present the voices of your friends, your neighbors, and your business associates. They document life, literature, governments, history, economics, and cultures, and they open the way to your becoming a knowledgeable and sophisticated citizen of the world as well as a successful business person or entrepreneur.
Located in the state's largest city, UNO's pioneering academic programs and metropolitan setting allow you to practice what you're learning while you're learning it. Not only will you have full access to an extensive written library of books, magazines, journals, and pamphlets, but you will also have up-to-date computer labs and the latest practice materials. In addition, you will find on this site resources to help you view the great museum collections of the world, to listen to music and newscasts in languages other than English, to view European, Asian, Middle Eastern, Central and South American, even African, television, and to help you find overseas work using your new language. On campus and in the city you can also find native speakers of various languages to practice with.
