Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts Senior Exhibition
in the Criss Library Osborne Family Gallery

Opening Reception in both Galleries: Sunday, April 1, 2012, 3 - 5 p.m.
Closing Saturday, May 5 at 1 p.m.

The Department of Art and Art History is pleased to present ten Bachelor of Fine Art  (BFA) thesis students and fifteen seniors in the Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts (BASA) program in our final exhibitions of the Spring 2012 semester.

Both exhibitions – BFA work in the Weber Fine Arts Art Gallery and BASA work in the Criss Library Osborne Family Gallery – will open with receptions for the artists on Sunday, April 1, from 3 to 5 p.m. The exhibitions will remain on view through 1 p.m. on Commencement Day, May 5.

BFA students working in glass, photography, ceramics, painting, sculpture, and installation explore both the personal and universal in their thesis work. Concepts  ranging from the natural world to the world of decay and work inspired by family, narrative, and memory or the nature of perception are explored visually.

The BASA exhibition in the Osborn Family Gallery includes “Design-O-Mite,” the work of eleven graphic design majors, as well art from students working in  painting, ceramic, and digital media.

The UNO Art Gallery is located on the first floor of the Weber Fine Arts Building on the UNO campus at 6001 Dodge Street.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday. In addition, appointments at other times are encouraged. Please call the Gallery at 402 554 2796 during regular hours for more information or to schedule an appointment.
