Art in Public Places - Road Sign Design Project

On Tuesday, September 20, students from David Helm's "Art in Public Places" course made the Criss Library walkway a gallery space for their road sign design project: to take easily-recognizable road sign shapes and transformed them into expressions of individual creativity.

Masters and Music: "Time, Emotion, & Memory"

On Sunday, March 13, UNO's Art & Art History and Music Departments were benefited by the Friends of Art organization's most recent "Masters & Music" presentation - a regular event designed to raise scholarship money for UNO students.

This particular event featured musician Jill Anderson, a UNO alumna, and Monte Kruse, an Omaha photographer. Together they helped tell the story of our cultural history - from across the pond to the farming communities of the Midwest.

Masters and Music: Collaboration and Syncopation

The UNO Art Gallery was host to a special presentation earlier this month called Collaboration and Syncopation. As part of the regular Masters & Music series, this event brought together the musical act fathr^ (Dustin Bushon and Dapose) and Hesse McGraw, the chief curator for the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art.
