Bonnie O'Connell, Associate Professor of Art and Art History, had three works featured in the group exhibition Tugboat Presents: Laser Cobra at Wesleyan University's Elder Gallery in Lincoln, Nebraska from September 1- 30, 2006. The exhibit included Lincoln and Omaha artists as well as residency artists from the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art.

O'Connell's work is also included in But Is It a Book? : An Exhibit of Contemporary Artists' Books curated by the book artist/author Bea Nettles, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Library, from September 25 - October 15, 2006.

Additionally two works by Associate Professor Bonnie O'Connell were selected for the 60th Juried Exhibition at the Sioux City Art Center, Sioux City Iowa. The exhibition, opening October 7 and running through January 7, 2007, was juried by Valerie Cassel Oliver, associate curator at the Contemporary Arts Museum in Houston. Texas.

Lastly O'Connell's sculptural bindings also appear with the works of 20 national and international book artists in the exhibition The Open Book curated by Mary Ellen Campbell at New Jersey City University from November 20-December 15, 2006.
