Graduate college credit can be earned in connection with Prairie Visions professional development institute.

·       One graduate credit can be earned by full attendance at all four days of the institute:  ART 8006-202 Special Studies in Art Education. UNO Summer: first day session, Shari Hofschire, Instructor. Register for 1 credit hour.

MAVLINK REGISTRATION

Requirements for one credit hour:  full attendance all four days, completion of surveys and reflections during PV, commitment to teach an arts integrated lesson during 2013-2014 school year and a letter to your state senator in support of arts funding.


·       Three graduate credits can be earned by attendance in a graduate seminar plus full attendance at Prairie Visions.

ART 8006-201 Special Studies in Art Education: Learning In and Through the Arts
Students MUST select three credits when they register in MAVlink (The default is one credit.).

Class meets the four days of Prairie Visions (June 11-14) and TR June 4, 6, 18, 20, 25 & 27, 10:30am to 1:00pm in Weber Fine Arts Building, room 128.   Shari Hofschire, Instructor.

MAVLINK REGISTRATION

Requirements for three credit hours: full attendance all four days, completion of surveys and reflections during PV, and attendance and completion of course work for graduate seminars on dates given above.  Graduate course assignments will include readings with written responses/reflections.  Students will also develop a thematic curriculum web of interdisciplinary lesson ideas for their classroom and do a research paper on art works and artists to use. 

·       Students are responsible for completing all course registration and course fee payment directly with UNO.  Graduate credit fee is NOT included with the workshop fellowship. Students need to have graduate standing in UNO’s graduate college.
