INTERMEDIANEW! – Academic Requirements Effective Fall 2013
Intermedia describes the evolving mediums of digital imaging, video and sound production, and emerging technologies as they are utilized as a fine art medium. From animation to installation to virtual reality, contemporary artists are exploring and using these media in new and exciting ways. The Intermedia program is designed to introduce the student to a variety of media and to provide the framework and studio time for each student to explore the potential of an aspect of media production in their own work. The combination of studio production and discussion of critical issues provide the technical and theoretical background necessary for the contemporary media artist. The studios include Macintosh, Windows XP, and Irix platforms with professional software packages for imaging, animation, and non-linear editing.
