Meeting Schedule: The Chancellor will convene the advisory group in September, January, and June of each year. Additional meetings will be scheduled as needed or requested by the Chancellor and/or the Committee.
Charge: (as of 2/11/2008)
to serve, as requested, as an advisory resource and group for the Chancellor of the University of Nebraska at Omaha on issues related to diversity, multicultural affairs, and cross-cultural climate. The Committee will assist the Chancellor in fostering collaborative relationships and information sharing across the campus, especially from and among the departments, units, organizations, and committees dedicated to advancing inclusiveness and diversity at UNO. The Committee will advise the Chancellor on specific issues, policies, and procedures as requested and provide campus updates as needed for the Chancellor's consideration.
Membership:
The Committee will be comprised of seven regular and two ex-officio members selected by the Chancellor from the following nominations and positions:
- One member selected from the UNO representatives to the University-wide Diversity Committee;
- One member selected from the SOLP Multicultural Programs & Organizations Advisor or Office of Multicultural Affairs Education Specialist;
- One member selected from Faculty Senate nominations (minimum of two nominations);
- One member selected from Staff Advisory Committee nominations (minimum of two nominations);
- One member selected from Chancellor's Cabinet nominations;
- One member selected from Dean's Forum nominations (minimum of two faculty nominations); and
- One at-large member selected by the Chancellor from all nominations including general campus and self-nominations.
- The two ex-officio members will be include a representative from the University of Nebraska Central Administration and the UNO Assistant to the Chancellor for Diversity and EEO.
Members will three year terms, with the possibility of renewal. Usually, no more than three members would be replaced in any one year.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following be appointed to Campus Committees as designated:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following names (minimum of two) go forward as nominees to the Chancellor's Advisory Committee for Inclusiveness & Diversity to replace Chris Allen, whose term has expired:
Carol Mitchell APPOINTED
Steven Torres.The Chancellor will then select one faculty member to serve on the committee for a three year term (08/1/2011 - 07/31/2014).
