III. Officers Reports
A. President's Report: Senator Bacon reported that he would wait to report on his meeting with NU President Smith and Exec V.P & Provost Noren and the four Senate Presidents until next month. The Board of Regents' meeting at the end of this week will contain the same subject matter.
B. Treasurer's Report: Senator Allen submitted the May 2004 budget report.
IV. New Business
A. The Executive Committee accepted the resignation of Senator Simpson (FA) as of May 25, 2004.
B. Senators Bacon and Watson hope to meet with Assoc. V.C. for Technology John Fiene within the next couple of weeks to discuss, among other things, ITS's announcement that the university would no longer support personal web pages for faculty, and that each department/unit would only be allowed 100 mg of space.
C. Senator Bacon announced that the Faculty/Staff picnic would be held Thursday, August 19, 2004. The Faculty Senate will be tasked to serve the pop and ice cream. The following motion was made, seconded, and passed:
Resolution 2748, 06/02/2004: Contribution to SAC
BE IT RESOLVED that the Faculty Senate contribute $54.00 to the Staff Advisory Council to help cover the cost of postage requesting donations for the Picnic.
