Faculty Grievance Committee

Resolution 2363, 03/10/99: Comm. on Faculty Personnel and Welfare WHEREAS, the University of Nebraska at Omaha Faculty Grievance Committee is a committee with faculty senate oversight that currently does not have provision for notification of committee decisions and actions to the faculty senate president, and WHEREAS, the other faculty personnel committees with faculty senate oversight (i.e. the Academic Freedom and Tenure Committee and the Professional Conduct Committee) have provisions for notification of committee decisions and actions to the faculty senate president; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, the following statement be added as section VII. H. to the "Faculty Grievance Committee Policies and Rules of Procedure": "The president of the faculty senate shall be informed of all actions taken by the committee including all advice and recommendations given to the chancellor or other university administrators by the committee." One full professor will be elected from the following two nominees to replace Dale Krane, for a three-year term from September 16, 2007, through September 15, 2010:
