Governance Documents:
Purpose: Be responsible for reviewing and recommending policies and procedures on matters pertaining to intercollegiate athletics. Committee shall have review of, but not necessarily limited to, the areas of schedules, awards, relationships with various constituencies, and the overall development of the intercollegiate athletics program at UNO. Committee shall advise the overall development of the intercollegiate athletics program at UNO. Committee shall advise the director of intercollegiate athletics and shall report its deliberations to the chancellor.
Membership: Nine members, of which three shall be faculty (two selected by the faculty senate, one selected by the chancellor), two administrators (selected by the chancellor), two students (one selected by the student senate, one selected by the chancellor), one alumnus (selected by the chancellor), and one representative of the community-at-large (selected by the chancellor). The director of intercollegiate athletics, the coordinator of women's athletics, and the NCAA faculty representative shall serve ex-officio, without vote.
Per Barbara Hewins-Maroney/Chancellor's office on 04/29/98: Membership changed to include two women athletes and two men athletes both selected by Athletics.
