The Center for Faculty Development provides UNO faculty opportunities for personal and professional growth through workshops, consultation, and learning communities.

The Center for Faculty Development is responsible for FacConnect, a portal which organizes links to campus professional development resources and events.

The Center for Faculty Development also provides administrative support for the University Committee for the Advancement of Teaching (UCAT). Visit UCAT for faculty travel grant opportunities.

Annual Fall New Faculty/ Graduate Assistant Workshops Set for August 18 and 19, 2008
The 2008 New Faculty Workshop and the Graduate Assistant Workshops, sponsored by the Center for Faculty Development (CFD), will be held Monday, August 18. The Faculty Workshop will continue Tuesday, August 19. These workshops have been a tradition at UNO for over 30 years. It provides new faculty and new teaching assistants with an opportunity to meet one another in an informal setting while learning about UNO—our metropolitan mission and strategic goals, our students, our academic support services, and faculty development opportunities. Part-time Faculty Workshops
Workshops for all part-time faculty at UNO are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday evenings, August 20 and 21 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. in Arts & Sciences Hall. Sessions will cover an overview of UNO; great teaching tips panel; introduction to UNO resources services & campus safety; and advanced ITS for experienced part-time faculty.
