Nebraska Certified Public Manager Program Applications Now Being Accepted

The School of Public Administration would like to announce that its highly acclaimed professional development program – the Nebraska Certified Public Manager Program (CPM) is now accepting applications.

The Nebraska CPM program features twelve monthly hybrid sessions (six on campus and six online) which teaches managers and supervisors to adopt an outcome-based perspective on managerial behavior, create measures of individual and organizational performance, and develop and enhance their interpersonal skills.

The Nebraska Certified Public Manager Program is more than a collection of educational sessions. It is an organized course of study in supervision and management designed specifically for public managers. Participants not only attend on-campus sessions or post online, but during the period between sessions they also work on assignments and a significant capstone project that is of benefit to the participant’s organization.

Application for the 2013 cohort is limited. Don’t miss this opportunity; the program won’t be offered again until January 2015.

For more information about the Nebraska Certified Public Manager Program and application process, please contact Ellen Freeman Wakefield at 4-2636 efreemanwakefield@unomaha.edu; or Rhonda Shiebel Carver at 4-2625.

A program application and additional information is also available at the School of Public Administration website at http://spa.unomaha.edu.
