Date for Upgrade to Office 365 Webmail Announced

Information Services (IS) has been notified by Microsoft that the upgrade of Office 365 Webmail will take place on Sunday, July 7. This upgrade will only involve Office 365 email accessed via the web and does not involve the Outlook email client.

Although Microsoft did not give a specific time of day for UNO’s upgrade, they did provide us with the following lists of what to expect:
--You shouldn’t experience any email interruptions in Outlook or on mobile devices.
--If you happen to be checking your email with the Outlook Web App when your email account is updated, you may need to sign out and then sign back in.
--You won’t need to change anything on your computer, in Outlook, or on any mobile device you use.

After the service upgrade, some changes and additional features will be noticed on the Outlook Web App. Check out the changes to the webmail here.

IS will post updates and additional information to Upgrade Central as it becomes available. Please feel free to contact IS Technical Support at 402-554-4357 (4-HELP) or unohelpdesk.unomaha.edu if you have questions or concerns about the changes for either service.

Nebraska Business Development Center Brings Lean Product Development to UNO July 26

Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC) is offering a new workshop aimed at getting products to market faster. This half-day intensive workshop will be held Friday, July 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Mammel Hall room 320 A/B and will introduce companies to the process of how to become sustainable.

The goal of the workshop is to focus participants on their companies’ shortcomings in the product development and launch arena, and to demonstrate that methods and tools are available to make rapid and significant improvements in resource utilization, product differentiation, time-to-market, and risk mitigation. All of which will translate directly to their bottom line.

The fee to attend is $299, and up to five employees are included for that price. Individual pricing is not included.

To register, visit the NBDC website.
