UNO Website Content Management System (CMS) Vendor Campus Forums Today and June 7

Do you update a UNO website? If yes, this is for you.

You've seen the new pages of our website, here's your chance to learn about the two potential content management systems (CMS) that you may be using in the future to update your university website(s)! The CMS product that is selected will replace Dreamweaver, UNO's current CMS.

Students, faculty and staff are invited to attend the CMS vendor forums today, June 5, and Friday, June 7, from 2 to 3 p.m. in Room 101 in the College of Community, Public Affairs and Community Service (CPACS). Feedback during these forums is welcome and encouraged. We will be providing a survey for those that attend.

Hannon Hill will be on campus today, and OmniUpdate on June 7.

These two CMS vendor candidates were selected based upon their responses to UNO's request for information (RFI), and the systems and services they offer. Ultimately, one vendor will be selected for future use by UNO.

The Website team is planning to host two walk-in computer lab sessions the week of June 10. This will give the campus additional hands-on experience with the systems.

For questions, comments and suggestions, please email unomarketing@unomaha.edu.

Log Your Miles with the National Bike Challenge!

UNO is looking for faculty, staff and students to participate in this year's National Bike Challenge. The National Challenge runs May 1 to August 31. You can join any time during this period and ANY amount of cycling will count (both miles and number of trips) toward helping UNO compete against other universities across the country. You can also win prizes! Even if you ride a few times this summer, we need you to join the team.

By joining the National Bike Challenge, we will also be participating in the Activate Omaha Bike To Work challenge running May 1 to October 1. It's never been easier to participate. You can sign up for an Endomondo account and join the Challenge at http://www.endomondo.com/campaign/national.

Enter “University of Nebraska at Omaha” when it asks for your workplace or university and accept notifications from Activate Omaha. Then you can download the optional app to record your commutes on your smartphone or iPod, or record your commute in the online calendar at your convenience.
