Parking Request for Today
To help facilitate snow removal in the surface lots, Facilities and Parking Services are asking for your cooperation by parking in the lower levels of the East or West Parking Structures today, Dec. 20.
Gates to both structures will be open and the top level (V Lot) on the East Structure will be closed. The forecast for high winds and snow may create travel challenges out of the surface lots over the next couple days.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.Up to Top

New Course Seeks to Broaden Participation in Computer Science
In an increasingly digital world, America's competitiveness in the global economy is threatened by lack of attention to computer science education. The importance of broadening computing literacy was the topic of a recent Twitter conversation (https://twitter.com/CSEdWeek) conducted as part of National Computer Science Education Week. In order to compete in the 21st century workforce, students must be empowered to create tomorrow's technology. In this context, UNO is offering a new course beginning in spring, CSCI 1200 - Computer Science Principles. It is aimed for students in all majors seeking an overview of computer science or considering a career in computing. The course will use mobile app development on Android platforms as a vehicle for teaching computer science concepts.
