Desktop Publishing Training Offered This Week
The Academic Partnership for Instruction (API), a division of Information Services (IS), is offering two training sessions in desktop publishing.
* InDesign I - Thursday, July 19, 10 to 11:30 a.m., 110D Eppley Administration Building (EAB).
This session provides an introductory hands-on opportunity to learn desktop publishing using the InDesign software package. While designing a poster and a newsletter, participants will learn to: insert and manipulate text and graphics and create a "master" template to use for future designs.
* InDesign II - Thursday, July 26, 10 to 11:30 a.m., 110D EAB.
In this next level of InDesign participants will create a brochure. While designing the brochure API will address document planning, layout and bleeds as well as tools for publishing concerns. The training session will also reinforce skills learned in the previous class. Knowledge of other Adobe software titles is helpful but not necessary.
All UNO faculty and staff are welcome. Registration is required and is on a first-come first-serve basis. Although there is a limit of five seats for both sessions, API will take a waiting list for a future training.
To register for this training go to http://api.unomaha.edu/calendar.php. For more information or to be added to the registration waiting list, contact IS Technical Support at 402.554.4357 (4.HELP) or email@example.com.Up to Top
