Flag Lowering

The UNO flag will be lowered to half-staff today, July 16, in honor of UNO faculty member Robbin Ogle. She passed away July 9 at age 51. Ogle, an associate professor in the UNO School of Criminology and Criminal Justice, had been with the university for more than 17 years.

Ineke Marshall, a former UNO faculty member and colleague of Dr. Ogles, remembers her many contributions to UNO. "Robbin's sudden passing is very sad and very shocking. She will be remembered for her strong theoretical insights, her true dedication to further the best interests of the students and her contributions to criminology and criminal justice education at UNO, but more importantly, for her strong opinions and an even stronger personality, and her genuine sense of justice. Qualities that one can admire. Robbin also was a very warm, sweet and empathic woman. She was a colleague whom I will never forget."

Visitation with the family is today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Korisko Larkin Staskiewicz Funeral Home, 5108 F St., in Omaha. Read more.
