KETV Visits Allwine Prairie Prescribed Burn
UNO's Allwine Prairie Preserve is periodically lit on fire to keep the habitat healthy, and KETV covered last week's prescribed burn. Preserve manager Alicia Mullarkey spoke with the television station about the university's unique tall grass prairie location. The story can be read and viewed here.

Up to TopLot U (Middle Level of East Parking Garage) Closed for Construction Starting July 13
Lot U construction schedule has been revised. Lot U is now scheduled to be closed this Friday, July 13, for installation of new overhead lights.
This work will start when overhead light installation is completed on the Lower Level, Lot T.
Faculty/Staff with access to Lot U, will be able to enter Lot T. This project is estimated to be completed in approximately 4 weeks.

Up to TopAPI to Offer Introduction to Video Editing This Week
The Academic Partnership for Instruction (API) will offer an 'Introduction to Video Editing' Class for faculty and staff this Friday, July 13. Class participants will learn basic editing techniques that can be used to create movies in any video editing program. This hands-on class will include techniques for importing video into an editing timeline, adding title images, titles, musical underscores, transitions and ending credits.
The last part of the class will cover exporting the movie for computer, DVD, and web playback. Class will be held July 13 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the API Lab: 110D Eppley Administration Building. For full course descriptions and to get registered, visit http://api.unomaha.edu/calendar.php.

The UNO Aviation Institute (UNOAI) will host its 17th annual UNOAI Golf Classic on Monday, July 23, at Pacific Springs Golf Course, 16810 Harney St. The Golf Classic is a fundraiser for student scholarships with all proceeds supporting UNOAI scholarship programs.

The tournament is a four-person scramble. Players may
register individually or as a team.

UNOAI is also seeking hole and place prizes for the
tournament. If your donation is equal to one of the sponsorship amounts, other
than corporate, your company will receive the benefits from that sponsorship.
Corporate Sponsorship $600: Your company logo will be placed on a tee box sign, the tournament banner and all advertisements. Your company will be given four registration certificates to play in the tournament valued at $75 each and one limited edition UNOAI Golf Classic Adidas polo shirt valued at $50.
Hole Sponsorship $275: Your company logo will be placed on a tee box sign, official tournament banner and all advertisements.
Logo Sponsorship $125: Your company logo will be placed on the official tournament banner and all advertisements.
