Mav-Rec Wellness Morning Stretch This A.M. in CPACS
Mav-Rec Wellness will offer a morning stretch program on Mondays and Fridays this summer. The program will be held at different buildings on campus. Today's (June 18) Morning Stretch will be in 401 Roskens Hall.
The stretching is non-strenuous, and done in the standing or sitting position, so that all employees can attend regardless of attire. It is from 7:45 to 7:55 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays. Employees can take part, and make it to their worksites by 8 a.m.
Those who can't participate are encouraged to stretch at their worksites on their own. Click on this link for a list of stretches.

Lot O Closed Until December 2013

Dean of IS&T Provides Perspective on International Conference on Computational Sciences
Hesham Ali, dean of the College of Information Science and Technology, provided KVNO News with an extended interview that focused on the recent International Conference on Computational Sciences held in Omaha. KVNO also interviewed the conference's founder, Peter Sloot, who is a professor at the University of Amsterdam.

UNO Hosts Eureka Program for Young Women
Twenty-eight young women are enjoying an educational experience that highlights the importance of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) mixed in with a healthy dose of sports and personal development activities during a month-long program being held at UNO.
The program, titled "Eureka," is funded by Girls Inc. The young women involved all will be eighth-grade students this fall and all have been involved with Girls Inc., previously. Read more.Up to Top
Shakespeare on the Green Starts Thursday
For its 26th season, Nebraska Shakespeare's Shakespeare on the Green festival returns to Elmwood Park with two classic plays: "Julius Caesar" and "The Comedy of Errors." Performances begin Thursday, June 21 and run through Sunday, July 8. The two professional productions are free to the public and regularly attended by thousands, many of who arrive early with picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs to get a good spot "on the Green," which is located at the northwest end of Elmwood Park. UNO MaV USO Holds Decal Design Contest
The Military and Veteran University Services Office (MaV USO) is holding a campus-wide decal design contest. In the near future, decals will let the university's military and veteran students know how to find assistance.
The winning decal will be displayed in offices or on doors of faculty and staff members who have completed specialized training to best assist military and veteran students.
Decal/Logo contest details follow:
* Designs must include the words “Military Friendly Space;”
* Should be 6x6 inches in size; and
* Can be hand drawn, painted or digital;
Submission should be sent to the MaV USO office or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org by July 31. A prize will be given for the winning design.
