Firefly/ESS Access for All UNO Employees
Firefly/ESS welcomes its newest users. As an employee at UNO, a Firefly account has been created for all non-benefit employees (including student workers). Through Firefly now non-benefit employees have access to Employee Self-Service (ESS), where you can:
- Submit Leave Requests (benefit eligible employees, if applicable to your department);
- View Benefit Enrollment (benefit eligible employees);
- View Paycheck stubs;
- View W-2 and W-4 information;
- View and/or update your personal addresses and banking information; and
- View and/or allocate credits for the Employee and Dependent Scholarship program (benefit eligible employees).
Firefly uses your NUID as your username. For mavlink users, Firefly uses the same ID and password.
If you don't know your NUID and/or have not set your Firefly password, you will need to log into TrueYou, the university's identity management system. Go to: https://trueyou.nebraska.edu/idm/user/selfservice.jsp.
In TrueYou, first indicate whether or not you know your NUID. If you don't, you will be asked to complete basic information and your NUID will be displayed in the next window. If you know your NUID, you will be asked to enter your NUID and SSN#.
You'll then be asked to establish (and confirm) your new password. Password guidelines are provided on the "Change Password" screen. The next step is a set of authentication questions of which you'll need to answer four. In the future, if you need to reset your password you'll be asked to answer these authentication questions to verify your identity.
Once you have reset your password, you can log into Firefly: https://firefly.nebraska.edu/. Click the "Employee Self Service" tab to access the available features.Up to Top

Campus Security Offers Holiday Safety Tips
The Campus Security staff would like to remind the campus community of some common sense safety tips to practice during the holiday season.
- When a person leaves his or her room or office, lock it up, even if it's only for a few minutes.
- Avoid leaving valuables or packages in plain view in a vehicle. Place them in the trunk or between the seats. When possible, do so before parking.
- During the holiday break, take valuables home from campus offices and residence halls.
- Anyone who is going to be working on campus late in the evening or when few people are around should consider advising Campus Security so that an officer can pay special attention to the area.
- Anyone entering a locked residence hall or campus building should make sure the door closes completely. Strangers should not follow anyone into a secure building.
- Students who live on campus and are leaving town for the holidays should make sure they have someone keeping an eye on their residence and leave emergency contact information.
For more information, call Campus Security at (402) 554.2648.Up to Top
