Single Payment Billing Starts With the Fall Semester
Beginning with the fall 2010 semester, UNO will introduce a single payment billing schedule instead of the two-payment option that was previously available to students. This change is in conjunction with the University of Nebraska system-wide implementation of the new PeopleSoft student information system software.
"The revised single payment billing schedule helps to streamline the billing process and provides a common payment schedule from semester to semester," said Bill Conley, vice chancellor for Business and Finance.
The fall 2010 billing statement will be generated on Monday, Aug. 30, with the payment due in full on Thursday, Sept. 23.
In addition, E-bills will be the only method of sending out billing statements. Students will no longer have the option to receive paper-billing statements by mail. Therefore, it is very important for students to monitor their UNO e-mail accounts.
Students or parents who have questions or concerns should contact the Cashiering/Student Accounts Office at 554.2324 or email@example.com.Up to Top

New mavlink Interface Reminder for Faculty
mavlink Faculty Support Team members remind faculty that UNO has transitioned from E-BRUNO to mavlink over the summer. Faculty members need to know about changes that have been made to the interface.
Faculty who logged on to mavlink during the spring or early summer might have seen both a "Faculty Center" and a "PeopleSoft" button (and possibly a "Staff" tab as well). These have now all been collapsed under the "Faculty Center" button to eliminate navigating back and forth for faculty members who also serve as advisors. Screens will not have all of the advising functions for those who do not serve as advisors.
The team continues to work on training tutorials, training sessions and a website, where faculty can find mavlink information. A mavlink faculty support website has been created at http://www.unomaha.edu/mavlinkfaculty. The website is continually being updated and if there are any questions or comments about the content, contact one of the team members.
Watch eNotes for more information, and let team members know of any questions or concerns at email@example.com or contact a mavlink Faculty Support Team member directly at:

UNO Returns to Omaha Corporate Cup
event has been designated a Mav-Rec Wellness event.
Mav-Rec Wellness announces UNO's return to the Corporate Cup on Sunday, Sept. 19, in Downtown Omaha.
"Due to the cost reductions and because Human Resources has agreed to help with some of the cost (the hospitality table and light refreshments), Mav-Rec Wellness was able to sign UNO up for a team, and cover the team registration fee," said David Daniels, team captain and assistant director for fitness/wellness and instructional programs at UNO. "To save cost to the individuals, we've made the T-shirt optional."
All UNO students, employees and their families can participate in the upcoming 30th annual Omaha Corporate Cup Run/Walk. The 10K run or 2-mile walk will take place Sept. 19 at the Omaha Civic Auditorium, 1804 Capitol Ave.
- They have made some scheduling changes, so UNO participants should go to the Corporate Cup website for all race details at http://omahacorporatecup.org/Event%20Information.html
- Information sheets will also be available at the Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) Building Control Desk.
- Registration for the run/walk is only available online at http://omahacorporatecup.org/index.html. It is $15 per person. Make sure you select the "Click here to Create or Join a Team" (because you will be joining the UNO Team). Registration deadline is Thursday, Sept. 16.
- The T-shirt, which is optional this year, deadline is Tuesday, Aug. 31, and costs $15.
Note: Ordering a T-shirt size at the registration website doesn't guarantee you a shirt, you must stop by HPER Control Desk and pay for the shirt.
Total cost run/walk with T-shirt is $30. Run/Walk without T-shirt is $15. More details are available for UNO participants at http://www.unomaha.edu/enotes/2010/img/corpcupprocedures10.pdf.
The mission of Mav-Rec Wellness, UNO's health promotion program, is to create a culture of health and wellness among all faculty, staff and students. Health goals are encouraged through programming and initiatives that celebrate healthier lifestyle practices within the UNO community. New Office Trash Removal Schedule Under Way
Since the end of July, custodial staff have been emptying office desk-side trash and recycling only on Fridays. Centralized office trash and recycling containers located throughout every campus building will continue to be emptied on a daily basis along with trash and recycling containers in classrooms and public spaces.
With the success of the recycling efforts on campus, much of the trash stream has been diverted to recycling containers, leaving office desk-side trash removal less critical on a daily basis. This change in trash collection, supported by Chancellor's Cabinet, will maximize the use of custodial staff for other needed activities.
Anyone with questions about their building trash or recycling containers locations should contact UNO Custodial Services at 554.2656 or 554.2395.Up to Top
