This event has been designated a UNO Mav-Rec Wellness event.

The Staff Advisory Council (SAC) and Human Resources (HR) have collaborated on this summer's "Walking Rally 2010 Challenge."

"This fun-filled event is designed to improve the physical well-being and mental health among UNO employees while decreasing stress levels," said Mollie Anderson, director of Human Resources. "We also invite you to share your ideas/suggestions for ways to improve staff morale."

The challenge runs through Tuesday, Aug. 10. There are three quizzes with three different themes created by the Walking Rally Committee. Each quiz has 10 to 15 questions. The answers can be found in different locations around campus. Attached below are the three quizzes to choose from.

They are:  (1) UNO Art & Artist, (2) UNO History and Landmarks, and (3) UNO's Pacific Location.

"You may work alone or in a group," Anderson said. "Not only do you get to enjoy a walk around campus, you also get to learn more about the campus."

Participants interested in tracking their miles can pick up a pedometer for $6 at the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Building Mav-Rec Assess Desk.

"What a great way to combine fun and exercise while enhancing your knowledge about the UNO campuses," said Kim Kronschnabel, SAC member. "Please join in on the fun!  We look forward to your enthusiastic participation."

Return completed quizzes to a SAC member by Tuesday, Aug. 10. The Walking Rally Committee will draw winners' names from the returned quizzes.
