Campus Wireless Network to Implement Name Change Aug. 17
UNO Information Technology Services (ITS) will change the name of the campus wireless network from "tsunami" to "unowireless" on Sunday, Aug. 17. The name change - happening during a scheduled system outage from 6 a.m. to noon - will make it easier for students, faculty, staff and community members to identify the network.
After the change, wireless users will receive a message the next time they try to access campus wireless. It will indicate "tsunami' is not available and ask which network the user wants to use instead. After selecting "unowireless," users will have the same wireless access as before. Visit http://wireless.unomaha.edu/ for instructions.
For more information about the change or for assistance connecting to the wireless network, contact ITS Customer Services at 554.4357 (554.HELP) or firstname.lastname@example.org.
