A groundbreaking for the College of Business Administration's new Mammel Hall took place Monday, June 2, at the northwest corner of 67th & Pine Streets. The lead gift for the building was made by Carl and Joyce Mammel of Omaha. Their commitment is the largest single philanthropic gift to benefit UNO in the campus' 100-year history. The $38.5 million CBA project includes $31 for construction of the 120,000-square-foot facility. The remaining $7.5 million will be directed to an endowment to enhance CBA programs and benefit students and faculty.
At the ceremony, UNO also announced a second significant gift supporting the building project. A commitment by Omahans Ruth and Bill Scott enables UNO to begin work on the project this summer. John Scott, son of Ruth and Bill Scott, said, "Our family would like to recognize the leadership of Carl and Joyce Mammel in this meaningful endeavor. My parents enjoy the opportunity to partner with the Mammels in helping bring this project to fruition. They share in Carl and Joyce's passion for supporting excellence in education and in promoting the economic strength of our community."

UNO Web Template Training Offered by ITS
Stuart Wheat, UNO Webmaster, has developed a series of Web templates available for the UNO campus for those interested in redesigning college or departmental Web sites. Information Technology Services (ITS) will offer a three-part, hands-on training on the Web templates this summer.
Training will be held Wednesdays - June 11, 18 and 25 - in 007A Roskens Hall. More training sessions will be added depending upon the level of interest. To learn more about Web templates, contact Erin King at 554.3140 or email@example.com.
- Web Templates I: Planning and Organization
1:30 to 3 p.m.
This session will focus on the organizational structure of the UNO Web template and how it can be used in conjunction with existing departmental Web site structure or to create a new structure. ITS staff will use several forms to diagram the site layout, to keep track of site navigation, as well as devise the naming structure. Staff will also discuss the different organizational elements of the template, review campus examples and discuss how the template can best be used for individual sites. This is an essential session to attend before starting work with the Web templates.
- Templates II: Setup and Page Development
1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
This hands-on session will focus on working with Web template files in Dreamweaver and creating a model page to be used as the basis for all other pages on your site. ITS staff will briefly review the Dreamweaver set-up and preferences. The primary focus of this session will be creating a model page, establishing a color scheme for the site, setting the page titles, working with the tabs and the includes. Prerequisite: Web Templates I recommended.
- Web Templates III: Content and Graphics
1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
This hands-on session will focus on completing the university's model Web page with the main content, as well as the footer. Additionally, ITS staff will cover adding graphics and using fonts.
