Opportunities to Get Involved

UNO Dual Enrollment Biology is hosting the 1st annual AP Biology Exam Prep Session at UNO on Sunday, April 26th, 2015. Come prepare for the national exam two weeks before the test date! Check back here for updates.

The Nebraska Science Festival will take place at UNO for students in grades k-12 on Saturday, April 11, 2015. If you are interested in volunteering, hosting a workshop, or would like additional information, please contact UNO STEM Outreach Coordinator Amelia Squires.

The Department of Biology at UNO periodically conducts prescribed burns at our own Glacier Creek Preserve and T.L. Davis Prairie. To add your name to the Omaha Red List, get updated information, and volunteer for controlled burns, visit http://www.unomaha.edu/prairie/prescribedburning.php.

NE STEM 4U is a student-run organization that provides informal, after school programming in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) areas to students in Omaha Public Schools. Motivated, passionate, and dedicated individuals are encouraged to apply to become a mentor.
