Other Info: The applicant must be permanently disabled with the potential for financial independence with further education/training. The applicant must demonstrate the need for financial assistance in order to achieve vocational goals through results of a college funding estimator worksheet. The applicant must set realistic/obtainable goals for future vocation in view of physical limitations and prognosis. The applicant must also demonstrate the ability to achieve academically and to overcome attitudinal and societal barriers. An applicant may also be eligible if he/she is not physically disabled but ineligible for other financial assistance and parent/guardian are physically disabled in such a way that family income is limited and or dependent upon social agencies/pensions, etc.

Selection Criteria: A scale of 1-5 will be used in the consideration of the applicants. Neatness and correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc. as well as content of essay will be considered. (A 250 word essay is required.) Information given on the application and the results of the College Funding Estimator worksheet will all be considered in determining a recipient.
