blackboard visitor account instructions.
A course instructor may use these instructions to set up a visitor account for sign language interpreters or CART providers who need access to the Blackboard site of their course. Visitor accounts are setup and administered through E-BRUNO for Faculty. You will need your NU ID number and E-BRUNO PIN to login.
1. Click on Request Visitor Account(s) to have the accounts created. The username for the visitor accounts will be your username, the _ underscore, the letter V and a number (e.g. clark_v1). That is the username you will need to give to the person you are establishing the account for.
2. Once you have requested the visitor accounts you will need to set passwords for them. Click on Reset Password on Visitor Account(s) to do this. You can reset the passwords at any time.
3. The final step in setting up visitor accounts is granting access for the accounts to a particular course. Click on Grant Access, then select the course or organization you want to grant access to from the drop down menu provided. On the following screen you will need to enter the visitor account username and then select the level of access you want the account to have. Student-level access is sufficient for interpreters and CART providers.
The forms for setting up a visitor account are processed at the start of every hour. If you experience any problems or have questions, please call ITS Customer Services at 554-4357.
