ActivityInsight Data Entry

Here you will find basic information about entering data in DigitalMeasures ActivityInsight.

  1. Login to DigitalMeasures
    • To logon to your DigitalMeasures account, simply click here: http://digitalmeasures.unomaha.edu/
    • You will simply need use the same UNO Net ID (e.g. jdoe) and password you use for other systems such as Lotus Notes and Blackboard. If you have any difficulty with logging in, you may need to reset your password, which can be accomplished here: http://password.unomaha.edu
  2. Main Menu
    • Once you are in the system, the menu items at the top left of the screen (Manage Your Activities and Custom Reports) are the key items you will need to use the system. For basic data entry, click on Manage Your Activities.



    • Using the Manage Your Activities tab, you should see the various categories under which entries are filed.

  3. Categories
    • Although you are more than welcome to enter any piece of information that can be contained in the system, the key elements that should be entered into the system relate to your activities related to research and creative activity and community engagement. Below is a suggested guide as to where many activities can be classified in DigitalMeasures:

      B Professional development activities Faculty Development Activities Attended
      C Thesis and dissertation committees Directed Student Learning (e.g., theses, dissertations)
      D Honors student theses supervised Directed Student Learning (e.g., theses, dissertations)
      E Independent studies supervised Directed Student Learning (e.g., theses, dissertations)
      F Practica/internships supervised Directed Student Learning (e.g., theses, dissertations)
      G New course(s) developed or significant redesign of course(s) Scheduled Teaching (There are selections in this screen to indicate if the course selected is new or redesigned and also text boxes to allow for further description)
      H Creative Activity Artistic and Professional Performances and Exhibits
      I Publications Publications
      J Presentations Presentations
      K College and department committees Department and College
      L Advising student groups University
      M Editorships Professional
      N Officer in professional organizations Professional
      O Community boards Community
      P Community engagement activities Community
      Q Media Contributions Media Contributions
      R Consulting Consulting



    • Data entry within each category screen is pretty self-explanatory.
    • Most entries can be tagged to indicate to which of the university's strategic goals the activity belongs. (See the screenshot below) This will be of great use when analyzing our progress toward those goals. Tagging your entries in this way is recommended wherever applicable.
