Graduate School Track

Career Information:
An area of concentration in geology is a study of the earth, with an emphasis on the surface and everything below. Students have three track options; education and liberal arts, environmental geology, and graduate school. Students desiring to pursue an advanced degree should select the graduate school track. The environmental geology focuses on the use of geology in living wisely on the earth and may find careers in waste management, conservation/preservation, urban development, or government administration. The education and liberal arts track will prepare students for careers in education, business, or other fields who want a deeper understanding of geology as part of a general education and/or those who wish to use geology as a springboard to other careers, such as science outreach or environmental law.
