History of the Jailhouse Scramble
The JAILHOUSE SCRAMBLE had its beginning in 1995 when a few correctional officers and a few UNO Criminal Justice Professors decided to use their Arbor Day Holiday to play some golf at Shoreline Golf Course in Carter Lake, Iowa. There were just two foursomes that day. Janet Porter, Ph.D., retired CJ Professor, asked Bob Houston to spearhead a movement to expand the event and she contributed funds to help support the effort. This collaboration created the UNO/UNL Criminal Justice Education Fund which benefits undergraduate and graduate students. The Scramble has been held at several venues through the years and has now settled into Tiburon Golf Course. The event has more than 90 golfers participating each year.

Four (4) person SHAMBLE $75 per person includes green fees, cart, and meal. Shotgun start at 9:00 a.m.. Participants include Federal, State, County & City Corrections Professionals, Members of the Judiciary, UNO/UNL Professors, Law Enforcement Personnel, and Tournament Sponsors. A Traveling Trophy recognizes the best scoring team from an agency. Tiburon is located just off I-80 at exit 439 on 168th Street.

Executive Hole Sponsor $300+
As an Executive Hole Sponsor, you have the opportunity to eat, mingle and be recognized after the Scramble is complete. The Players will return to the Club House for a meal and you will be able to join them. During the presentation, you will be recognized and given an opportunity to promote your business so be sure to bring some promotional materials.
As an Executive Hole Sponsor your business logo will be advertised on a hole, recognition will be on the UNO School of Criminology and Criminal Justice website as a sponsor of the event and finally, your business will be recognized as a donor at the 2012 Scholarship and Awards Luncheon for the School. (Charitable contribution = $285.50)
Event Partner $150+
As an Event Partner, you have the opportunity to eat and mingle during the Presentation portion of the event. The Players will return to the Club House for a meal and you will be able to join them. Your business logo will be placed on a banner dis-played at the Club House. You will also receive a signed certificate to display in your business. You are welcome to bring some promotional materials to be placed on tables. (Charitable contribution = $135.50)
